Can We Talk About The Drug Reference In "The Good Dinosaur"?
Because nothing brings two friends closer than psychedelic berries.
In case you hadn't heard, Pixar's The Good Dinosaur opened last week to less than stellar reviews.

It didn't do so well at the U.S. box office either.
The film is set in a world where dinosaurs never went extinct, and follows protagonist Arlo and his human pet Spot on a journey to return to Arlo's family.

It's a touching story, but there's one super short scene that is absolutely worthy of additional attention...
Has nobody noticed the scene in The Good Dinosaur when they eat the berries and go on a psychedelic trip, hahahaha
I'm talking about the scene where Arlo and Spot eat some psychedelic berries and go on a legit drug trip.
THE GOOD DINOSAUR is basically Pixar's version of an old Disney "animal adventure" movie, with 100% more drug hallucination content.
During the hallucination Arlo and Spot swap heads, then float through space in a very brief scene that totally leaves you scratching your heading wondering WTF just happened?
The drug trip scene in The Good Dinosaur was the most WTF moment I've seen in a kids movie in a while. Parents looked confused. Kids laughed
Many of us were pleasantly surprised.
Just saw Pixar's The Good Dinosaur. Unsurprisingly heartwarming, but surprisingly psychedelic.
Because really, there's nothing that will bring two friends closer than an unexpected psychedelic drug trip.
Saw "The Good Dinosaur" today. There's a scene where Arlo & Spot eat some psychedelic fruit & trip out, then become good friends. 🍇🍇🍇
Saw THE GOOD DINOSAUR last night. Superb. Yummy cinematography, gut-punch laughs & heart, plus a trippy/hilarious "drug" sequence.
The momentary drug reference also gave adults something to laugh at in an otherwise pretty tame movie.
I think I liked The Good Dinosaur more than my nephews did. Of course, it did feature Sam Elliot's voice and a drug hallucination.
Some are even calling it "one of the best" drug scenes in cinematic history.
But let's not forget about the time Dumbo hallucinated after drinking a glass of what was supposedly champagne.
Or when Pinocchio got hella blazed.

And don't even get me started on the number of drug references in Alice in Wonderland.
Some people totally loved the berry drug sequence in The Good Dinosaur.
#GoodDinosaur was so good! Incredible visuals, great story and characters. Loved the trippy "drug" sequence haha!
Others felt it was unnecessary.
Saw The Good Dinosaur-Cute, but the berry "drug" scene was not needed. Hard to tell kids those were bad berries when they cant stop laughing
Aaaaand some people were downright pissed.
PSA: don't see The Good Dinosaur. it's like a terrible dinosaur version of the lion king with drug references & who knows what else. dont.
